Assistant Social Media Managers
Each Assistant Social Media Manager will focus on a specific platform, creating content tailored to that platform’s audience and features. They will report to the Social Media Manager and collaborate closely with other assistants to maintain brand consistency across platforms.
Platform-Specific Responsibilities
- Meta Assistant Manager (Facebook, Instagram, & Threads)
- Develop posts that encourage community engagement, including discussions, polls, and events.
- Utilize Facebook groups and pages to foster a sense of community.
- Create visually engaging content (photos, videos, and infographics) tailored to Instagram and Threads.
- Utilize Stories, Reels, and Threads to keep audiences engaged and informed.
- LinkedIn Assistant Manager
- Share thought leadership content, including articles and professional updates related to DFC’s mission.
- Engage with professional communities and partnerships that align with DFC’s goals.
- Twitter (X) Assistant Manager
- Post timely updates, engage with followers, and participate in relevant trending topics and Twitter Spaces.
- Monitor and respond to mentions and discussions about DFC.
- Bluesky Assistant Manager
- Establish DFC’s presence on Bluesky, creating unique content that aligns with the platform’s decentralized and community-focused audience.
- Engage in conversations and collaborate with other organizations and influencers active on Bluesky.
- Mastodon Assistant Manager
- Share content that resonates with the decentralized social media audience, with an emphasis on DFC’s democratic values.
- Engage with other communities and organizations, building a presence in Mastodon’s federated environment.
- This role may become broader to support “ActivityPub Protocol” platforms.
Qualifications for All Assistant Social Media Managers:
- Familiarity with the assigned platform and an understanding of its audience.
- Experience in social media content creation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to align content with DFC’s mission.
