Fundraising Director
Position Summary:
The DFC is seeking a volunteer Fundraising Director to lead its fundraising and development efforts. The Fundraising Director will be responsible for identifying potential funding sources, building relationships with donors, and implementing strategies to ensure financial sustainability for the DFC’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support DFC’s mission and operational goals.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Donor Relations and Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, fostering a strong base of support.
- Plan and coordinate donor engagement initiatives, such as events, direct appeals, and regular communications.
- Grant Writing and Sponsorships
- Research and apply for relevant grants, ensuring applications align with DFC’s objectives.
- Explore sponsorship opportunities with partner organizations and businesses aligned with DFC’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or donor relations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple fundraising initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors.
- Familiarity with donor management software such as ActBlue is a plus.
